Rector Prof. Cemal Yıldız Attended the "Workshop of German Scientists in Turkey", organized in Munich by the Turkish Historical Society

Rector Yıldız put forward his paper titled "The Current Situation of Turkish-German Scientific Relations" at the workshop titled "Workshop of German Scientists in Turkey: Contribution of German Scientists to the Development of Modern Turkey" organized by the Turkish Historical Society on 30 June 2022 in Munich. TGU Rector Prof. Cemal Yıldız presented his paper titled "The Current Situation of Turkish-German Scientific Relations" at the workshop attended by academicians who are experts in their fields and the children who born in Turkey of German scientists, who had played important roles in the establishment and restructuring of the most important universities of the Republic of Turkey and in the training of the first academicians. In the above-mentioned paper, Mr. Yıldız mentioned the role of 3.500.000 Turkish people living in Germany and their children in the German education system, their professional and academic achievements, and he touched upon the topic of education of the Turkish language in Germany. Prof. Yıldız stated that Turkish-German relations are open to development and change in the common denominator of education, emphasizing that teaching the Turkish language and Turkish culture is extremely important for our Turkish citizens in Germany. In this context, he added that Turkish-German University is a concrete example of the aforementioned relations. 
       Besides participating in the workshop, Rector Yıldız also engaged in some other activities such as contacts with the Consulate Generals of Munich and Karlsruhe, a visit to the Karlsruhe Badisches Landesmuseum, which hosts important materials related to Turkish history, and meetings with the representatives of Turkish communities.
